Job description

As Procurement Manager your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating suppliers, conducting interviews with vendors, negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier and vendor contracts.
  • Develop, hone and execute new and improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.
  • Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in global spend
  • Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity
  • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
  • Coordinate deliveries
  • Manage various RFIs and RFPs related to procurement services
  • Evaluate supplier performance.

  • Knowledge of IKEA Concept, including our vision and business idea, IKEA culture and values
  • Understanding of contractual law
  • Cost Optimisation, Value Engineering and cost modelling experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software

This position is full-time and is located in Kuwait. Some travel may be required.
