IKEA Food team in Lakeside are looking to welcome fast-paced and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to join our hard working food team !
Prior experience in food and a passion for cooking is essential, as you will be responsible for working with our wonderful list of ingredients to provide a variety of healthy meals for our co-workers.
Due to health and safety you must be over 18 for this role.
Expected Starting Date: 24th June 2023
WHAT WE OFFER
• £11.45 per hour
• Living Wage Foundation Employer
39 hours - working 5 days per week, 2 weekends off in 4, mixtures of shifts, 2 lates per finishing at 10pm. start 7am
24 hours = 4 days per week, working 3 out of 4 weekends, finishing at 10pm, weekdays = 8am - 6pm , 6 hours per shift

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Are you a team player with a passion for food and people? Do you know your meat ball from your plant ball? If so, then we are looking for you.
This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting.
We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution-orientated mindset.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Kitchen Food Co-worker, you will report to one of the Food Managers or Team Leaders and work alongside them in the various areas in the department to help create a safe, healthy, delicious, sustainable, affordable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the co-worker.
Experience of working with commercial ovens and equipment is essential as is the ability to take responsibility for your day to day tasks.
