In the role as Digital Technology Leader you will drive technology driven transformations and innovations in different assignments. In these assignments you will be part of developing the future retail experience and contribute to the IKEA business goals, objectives and strategies by:
Creating actionable plans to deliver a platform to define what good looks like regarding the digital meeting with the customer containing: brand, range presentation and inspiration
Contributing with expert knowledge on matters as PIM, SEO and up to date ways or working
Being a trusted partner supporting the business in using digital technologies to drive innovation that is enhancing the customer experience
Providing expert knowledge on how existing systems and applications can function with new solutions in the total digital ecosystem. Providing a feasibility analysis /assessment of development projects with complex IT components ensuring successful deployment.
Engaging in strategic discussions around potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships providing expertise on technology prerequisites, opportunities, and risks
Staying up to date with emerging technology trends and movements that may impact IKEA, the competitive landscape and our customers’ behaviors and expectations
Being part of/ building industry networks within and outside IKEA
As your first assignment you will join our IKEA knowledge graph product team where you will take lead in securing the technical roadmap for the product, making sure that technical and non-technical components work together and create a holistic whole. It is in collaboration with partners throughout IKEA, that we are building a knowledge graph covering our Product Range, Home Furnishing and Life at Home knowledge. Today we meet customers with products, solutions and knowledge that fit their needs, dreams and aspirations in physical touchpoints in many parts of the world. The knowledge graph product team has the exciting assignment to build the backbone of the digital experience of the IKEA unique knowledge, enabling personalization and scalability.
One of IKEAs uniqueness lies in our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people and the knowledge graph, which will be built on 75+ years Home Furnishing and Life at Home knowledge, will play a fundamental part in delivering the IKEA unique knowledge to the many people.
In this assignment you will work closely with the cross-functional product team and together with the Product Owner you will be responsible for the ongoing operation of the product.
About you You understand digital customer needs and are passionate about technology and the value it can bring to IKEA customers and business. Your background is in technology around web and online retailing and you have been a key person in driving technology driven transformations and innovations. With your visionary leadership you lead complex projects and assignments across organisations in a collaborative way. You have a healthy competitive spirit with a forward looking, strategic and creative mind-set. You’re on top of global trends and developments and understand how they can impact IKEA. A fast-changing, global and complex environment is giving you energy and you are appreciated for your capability to build engaging and trustful relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and business partners.
You will bring solid development experience. You have extensive knowledge in front-end architecture and accessibility (React JS, ES6, NodeJS , SCSS, POSTCSS, CSS, / Enzime, Jest, GitEnterprise, Azure DevOps, Azure Services, Docker, Webpack / NodeJS, Verdaccio, GitEnterprise) and deep knowledge in designing front-end architecture and development process. This is a full time position (40h/week). Travels may be required in the future. This position can be based in Malmö, Sweden or Delft, the Netherlands.
