Job description


  • Is responsible to support business development teams in preparing implementation and steering business casesfor investment projects
  • Provide analysis, risk assessment and regular follow-up through the different steps of investment projects
  • Support the business development teams through the different steps required for credit and tools applications
  • Secure follow-up and administration of IKEA tools at supplier -Support the business development teams’ ad hoc requests in financial screening & analysis of suppliers
  • Responsible for legal & financial due-diligence of suppliers (e.g. during supplier start-up process)
  • Support and train business development teams within area of Financial Basics Knowledge and Supplier Finance working methods
  • Support the business development teams in handling Extra-ordinary Cost cases according to working methods - establishing and monitoring overall cost and resource allocation, cost frame, forecast and result
  • Contribute in establishing the benchmark of efficiency development and optimization of the given financial and headcount frames



  • Good understanding of IKEA Strategic Landscape, especially IKEA Purchasing Strategy
  • Good understand of IKEA Business Model and Business Model for Growth
  • Deep knowledge of market specific conditions and macro economics trends
  • Good knowledge of supplier capabilities and material, service and production
  • Good understanding of IKEA Purchasing Year Cycle and Governance Structure
  • Good knowledge of IKEA Purchasing Manual, Purchase Agreement Package
  • Deep knowledge of Supplier Financing guidelines
  • Deep financial knowledge (University degree in Economics or corresponding knowledge)
  • Legal knowledge (understanding of purchase agreement package and product development agreement)
  • Good knowledge of project management tools and methodology
  • Understanding of country-specific financial legislations
  • Deep knowledge of controlling, budgeting and reporting tools
